Shuvee Etrata Owns Past Mistakes, Promises Better Choices

Fame can be overwhelming.
And for Shuvee Etrata, it came fast — and loud.

But behind the spotlight and growing fanbase… there was something else she had to face.

The noise.
The criticism.
The weight of strangers’ opinions.

And this time, she’s no longer holding back.

“It really affected me”

In a candid conversation on BJ Pascual’s Musings, Shuvee opened up about something many don’t see — the emotional toll of online hate.

No filters. No sugarcoating.

“It really affected my mental health,” she admitted.

At first, everything felt light.

Her feed was filled with love. Compliments. Encouragement.
It was easy to believe that was how things would always be.

But after Pinoy Big Brother… everything changed.

When the love turned louder — and so did the hate

“I got used to the good comments,” she shared.
“I leaned on them.”

Then came the backlash.

Suddenly, the praise was no longer the loudest voice in the room.

“That’s when I started catching the bashing,” she said.

And it hit harder than she expected.

Learning to let go

Over time, Shuvee realized something important — not every voice deserves space in her mind.

Yes, the bashers were harsh.
Yes, they were loud.

But she learned to choose herself.

“At first, I was affected,” she said.
“But I realized… if you know who you are, you don’t have to believe them.”

It wasn’t instant.
It wasn’t easy.

But it was necessary.

It’s no longer just about her

What makes it even heavier now?

She’s not just representing herself anymore.

“Hindi na ako mag-isa,” she explained.

Every criticism doesn’t just hit her — it affects the people and brands who believe in her.

And that’s what hurts the most.

“If it was just me, I could take it,” she said.
“But someone else gets affected too.”

That responsibility changed everything.

Owning the past — and choosing better

Instead of running from her mistakes, Shuvee chose something braver.

She owned them.

“If you want to bash me for my past decisions… go ahead,” she said honestly.

Because yes — she admits she made mistakes.

But she’s not the same person anymore.

“I got better,” she said.
“I really believe I got better. I’m making better decisions.”

No pretending. No rewriting who she is.

She was loved for being real — and she plans to stay that way.

Stronger, wiser, and still standing

For Shuvee, growth isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about being stronger.
More aware.
More grounded.

“Walang perpektong tao,” she said. No one is perfect.

And through it all, she holds on to something deeper than public opinion — her faith.

“I just need to be strong… God is there.”

A dream unfolding

Despite everything, Shuvee continues to move forward — with gratitude.

She recently worked with BJ Pascual on a photoshoot she calls a “dream collaboration.”

And the journey doesn’t stop there.

She’s set to star in the upcoming Kapuso series Master Cutter, alongside Dingdong Dantes and Max Collins.

From criticism to clarity…
From mistakes to growth…

Shuvee Etrata is not just surviving the spotlight.

She’s learning how to stand in it — stronger than ever.
