The Sandiganbayan on Tuesday (November 13) has ordered the arrest of former first lady now Ilocos Norte Representative Imelda Marcos.
Marcos was convicted for seven counts of graft for amassing billions of dollars through self-created institutions in Switzerland and maintaining Swiss bank accounts while still holding multiple positions in the government.
Based on the resolution issued by the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division on Friday (November 09) the anti-graft court ordered the arrest of Imelda Marcos for not attending the promulgation.
Consequently, the Sandiganbayan ordered the forfeiture of Marcos’ bail bonds due to unjustified absence from the promulgation. – UNTV News and Rescue
