Sam Milby has no qualms playing more antagonistic roles in the future if that is the type of roles that can make him shine.
As reported on Push, the actor, who has been winning praises for his role as the villain Ace in the Kapamilya series, “Halik”, stated that it was not the first time he has played an antagonistic role in a drama.
“I have done two roles similar to this, [including] “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” with Judy Ann Santos. Actually [in] “Maging Sino Ka Man” it was a bit of a stronger role, but not this villainous type,” he said.
Milby said that the success of his performance this time is because of director Ruel S. Bayani, who believes in his talent.
“When he offered me the role, he said, “Sam, in the many projects you have done before, I think those strong bad boy roles are the ones that made you shine more”. So yes, if this is the type of role that I am better at, then I will [play to my strength],” he said.
Milby said that even if the next role he received turns out to be antagonistic, he will not say no to it.
