Robredo camp to study social media reports, allegations

Vice President and presidential candidate Leni Robredo said Tuesday that her camp was studying reports of alleged poll irregularities during the May 9 national and local elections.

Robredo, who is trailing former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. with 14 million votes against the latter’s 30 million votes, issued the statement as she thanked those who supported her 2022 presidential bid that was largely anchored on volunteer efforts from various sectors rather than the backing of politicians.

(I know you are still trying to process what happened yesterday, and I am aware that there are questions waiting to be answered. We are starting to talk with experts about about thouroughly studying reports and allegations of that we are reading on social media.)

“Agad naming ibabahagi ang anumang resulta ng pag-aaral,” she added.

(We will share our findings with you as soon as it is available.)

In addition, Robredo said that she will attend at least two gatherings with her supporters: a 5:30 p.m. Mass today at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral and a May 13 event in Manila, the details of which will be announced later.

(Again, I thank you for your diligence, creativity, and the heart that carried us through the campaign. Because of you, we got a glimpse of a society that we could be.) — DVM, GMA News
