Retired Judge Linked to Atong Ang Case Fixing—Patidongan Claims

A man named Julie “Dondon” Patidongan, who says he knows what really happened to over 30 missing sabungeros (cockfighting enthusiasts), is dropping big news: He claims that a retired judge may have helped businessman Atong Ang in fixing his legal cases.

Yes—a judge who used to work in court is now being accused of helping clear Atong Ang and others of serious charges!

🗣️ What Did the Whistleblower Say?

Patidongan said on GMA’s 24 Oras that:

  • He and five others were once on trial for a case connected to the missing sabungeros.

  • But all six of them were acquitted (they were declared not guilty).

  • And he believes they were cleared because of help from a retired judge.

“We got out of the case because of the ex-judge,” he said.

📞 What Did Atong Ang Allegedly Say?

According to Patidongan:

  • When he was hiding in Mindanao, Atong Ang called him.

  • Ang allegedly told him:

“Dondon, be thankful to the ex-judge. He fixed our case.”

He even said that Ang and the judge would meet and talk in Japan to work things out. 😳

🧨 How Powerful Was This Retired Judge?

Patidongan said this former judge had a lot of power and could influence other judges, meaning he might be able to control or affect the outcome of court cases.

⚖️ Is This Being Investigated?

Yes! Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said:

  • The Supreme Court already has some information.

  • He gave them details to investigate judges possibly involved in the sabungero disappearances.

  • And guess what? “There’s more coming,” he warned.

The Supreme Court confirmed it has received the info and said:

“We take this very seriously and we are doing our own investigation. If needed, we will act according to the rules.”
