Philippines logs 1,774 new COVID-19 cases; active tally climbs to 19,267

The Philippines on Friday logged 1,774 new COVID-19 infections, while the active tally climbed to 19,267.

Based on the Department of Health (DOH)’s data, the active tally was higher than the 18,467 reported on Thursday.

The country’s caseload now also increased to 4,023,798, according to the DOH.

The Health department said the National Capital Region (NCR) registered the highest cases in the recent two weeks with 3,351, followed by Calabarzon with 1,984, Western Visayas with 1,512, Central Luzon with 1,165, and Central Visayas with 1,058.

Meanwhile, the recovery tally pushed to 3,940,073, while the death toll climbed to 64,458.

At least 12,248 individuals were tested, while 341 testing laboratories submitted data as of Thursday, November 17.

The bed occupancy in the country increased to 24.4%, with at least 6,870 beds occupied and 21,308 were vacant as of Wednesday, November 16.–LDF, GMA Integrated News
