Philippine Peso Exchange Rates : August 1, 2025

Have you ever wondered how much money from other countries is worth when compared to our very own Philippine Peso? Every day, banks and governments look at something called “exchange rates” — it tells us how much one unit of foreign money is worth in pesos.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) just released the latest numbers today, August 1, 2025, and let me tell you — there’s some drama happening in the world of money!

Let’s break it down and talk about the top 15 currencies and what it means for us, in very simple terms:

💵 1. United States Dollar (USD) – ₱58.19

The US dollar is still the strongest and most powerful currency in the world. If you have $1, it’s worth over ₱58 pesos! That’s a lot. When the dollar is strong, imported goods from the US can be more expensive.

💴 2. Japanese Yen (JPY) – ₱0.39

Wow! The Yen is super low. One Japanese yen is less than ₱0.50. It takes over 100 yen just to be worth ₱39. That means it’s cheap to visit Japan, but Japanese goods can be expensive here.

💷 3. British Pound (GBP) – ₱76.85

The British Pound is even more expensive than the dollar! One pound is ₱76.85. It’s one of the most valuable currencies on Earth.

🇭🇰 4. Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) – ₱7.41

Not as strong as the US dollar, but still decent. One HKD is around ₱7.41, often used by OFWs and businesses in Asia.

🇨🇭 5. Swiss Franc (CHF) – ₱71.60

Switzerland’s money is very strong. One franc can get you almost ₱72. That’s like a mini-pound in strength!

🇨🇦 6. Canadian Dollar (CAD) – ₱42.01

The Canadian dollar is steady. At ₱42, it shows Canada’s economy is doing okay.

🇸🇬 7. Singapore Dollar (SGD) – ₱44.84

Singapore is rich and stable, so their dollar is strong. It’s around ₱45 per SGD, which is why many Filipinos there earn good money.

🇦🇺 8. Australian Dollar (AUD) – ₱37.39

The Aussie dollar is a bit lower, but still useful. One AUD = around ₱37.39, making Australia a favorite OFW destination.

🇧🇭 9. Bahraini Dinar (BHD) – ₱154.34

Whoa! This is a super strong currency. One dinar is worth more than ₱150! That’s why many OFWs in Bahrain earn big!

🇰🇼 10. Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) – N/A

Hmm… No numbers today. Maybe the rate is not available or being updated. But the Kuwaiti dinar is usually one of the strongest currencies in the world.

🇸🇦 11. Saudi Riyal (SAR) – ₱15.51

A favorite for OFWs. The Riyal is strong and stable. One riyal equals about ₱15.51 — and it adds up for workers in Saudi!

🇧🇳 12. Brunei Dollar (BND) – ₱44.67

Almost the same as Singapore’s currency. One BND = ₱44.67, and Brunei is another country where OFWs send a lot of remittances.

🇮🇩 13. Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) – ₱0.0035

Super tiny! One rupiah is worth just fractions of a centavo. You’ll need about 286 rupiahs just to get one peso.

🇹🇭 14. Thai Baht (THB) – ₱1.78

The baht is doing okay. One baht = ₱1.78. Thailand’s economy is strong in tourism and trade.

🇦🇪 15. UAE Dirham (AED) – ₱15.84

Another strong money used by many Filipinos abroad. One dirham is ₱15.84, which is good news for OFWs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi!

💶 BONUS: The Euro (EUR) – ₱66.44

Even though it’s not in the top 15 list, the euro is one of the most powerful currencies. Used in countries like France, Germany, and Spain — it’s now worth ₱66.44 each!

💡 So What Does This All Mean?

  • A high peso equivalent means the currency is stronger than the peso.

  • OFWs in those countries with stronger currencies can send more money home.

  • When the peso weakens, imported goods like gadgets or gasoline become more expensive.

🪙 Quick Gold & Silver Update:

📊 Exchange Reminders:

These are the official numbers banks use for buying or selling dollars.
