ANOTHER official of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) resigned.

PhilHealth President and CEO Ricardo Morales said Vice President for Operations Augustus de Villa wanted to spend more time with his family.

In a press conference on Thursday, Morales thanked De Villa for his “candor” and respected his decision to leave PhilHealth.

De Villa was implicated in the alleged illegal purchase of network switches for PhilHealth’s information technology project worth P 2.1 billion.
