The Philippines has proven once again that it’s not just a destination—it’s a world-class stage for business and travel.
Two of the country’s biggest government-led trade events, the Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) and MICECONnect 2025, have generated over ₱1 billion in confirmed sales leads, far exceeding their initial target of ₱596.2 million, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) announced Friday.
Bringing the World to the Philippines
Held on September 10 in Pasay City, the events gathered 147 Philippine sellers and 114 foreign buyers from top global markets and the booming MICE sector—Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions.
For three days, delegates participated in over 3,000 business-to-business (B2B) meetings, forging connections that turned conversations into concrete deals. Networking sessions and cultural showcases highlighted not just the country’s stunning destinations, but also its warm hospitality and strong infrastructure for global events.
A Celebration of Growth and Connection
“PHITEX + MICECONnect 2025 showcased the best of the Philippines to a global audience while forging connections that translate into real opportunities for our local stakeholders,” said TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles.
She added: “This event reaffirms our commitment to collaboration, sustainability, and inclusivity, ensuring that tourism growth uplifts communities and strengthens our cultural identity.”

More Than Deals—A Showcase of the Country
Delegates also experienced post-event tours in Cebu, Bohol, Davao, and Clark, further cementing the country’s readiness to host international meetings, cultural exchanges, and even film productions.
Why It Matters
The success of these events underscores the Philippines’ rising status as a global hub for tourism and business gatherings. With billions in deals, thousands of new connections, and global recognition, the Philippines is proving it can shine not just as a travel destination—but as a place where opportunities for growth, culture, and innovation converge.
