The country on Monday recorded 9,628 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 945,745.
The latest bulletin by the Department of Health showed that active cases account for 141,375 or 14.9% of the total cases, It added that 96.9% are tagged as mild cases, 1.5% are asymptomatic, 0.7% are severe cases, 0.5% are in critical condition, and 0.43% are moderate.
The DOH also logged 88 new deaths, pushing the number of fatalities to 16,048. It said that 19 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after validation.
Meanwhile, the number of survivors increased to 788,322 after 9,266 more patients recovered. The DOH removed 16 duplicates from the total case count, wherein nine are recoveries.
No new cases abroad
The Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday reported no new COVID-19 infections among overseas Filipinos, with the total number of infections abroad at 18,141.
Meanwhile, seven more overseas Filipinos recovered from COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 survivors among Filipinos abroad is now at 11,149. The DFA added that 5,877 are currently undergoing treatment.
The number of deaths, on the other hand, remains at 1,115.
Cases of coronavirus-infected Filipinos have now been listed in 91 countries worldwide.
