MANILA – A proud moment for the Philippines. ✈️
Philippine Airlines (PAL) has once again proven that it’s not just about flying—it’s about flying right on time. According to London-based aviation analytics company Cirium, PAL was ranked the most punctual airline in Asia Pacific for August, achieving an impressive 89.37% on-time performance (OTP) rating.
To put it in perspective, PAL outperformed the region’s top 10 airlines, which averaged only 80.83%. That’s a solid lead—proof of discipline, teamwork, and relentless dedication.
“We laud the efforts of our engineers, ground and flight teams for working towards on-time performance through operational efficiency,” said Roland Narciso, PAL senior vice president for the Operations Group.
He added with pride, “We remain steadfast in our commitment to further enhance on-time performance, a crucial factor for operational reliability and customer satisfaction.”
For Cirium, punctuality means more than just arriving on the dot. A flight is considered “on-time” if the aircraft reaches the gate within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival—a benchmark that matters greatly to travelers who value both time and reliability.
This isn’t PAL’s first recognition either. The airline was also Asia Pacific’s most punctual carrier in April 2025, while ranking second-best in January 2025 and October 2024.
Clearly, PAL’s consistency in the skies is no accident—it’s a commitment. A commitment not just to schedules, but to every passenger who trusts them to bring them home, on time.
