Filipino travelers will soon have one more destination to explore with ease—because Oman is set to become visa-free for Filipinos by 2026.
This exciting announcement came straight from the Oman Embassy.
During Oman’s National Day celebration in Makati City on Wednesday, Oman’s Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Nasser Said Abdullah Al Manwari, shared the big news:
Filipinos visiting Oman for around two weeks will no longer need a visa starting next year.
“This is the first country in the Middle East that will waive the visa for the Filipino people,” the ambassador said with pride.
“So you can enjoy Oman anytime without a visa. Next year, it will be around two weeks without visa.”
His message was simple—but filled with warmth and sincerity.
A Boost for Tourism and Friendship
Ambassador Manwari expressed hope that this change would spark a surge in Filipino tourists discovering the beauty of Oman.
“I think the number of tourists will increase dramatically after the waiving of visas,” he shared, seeing the decision as a bridge that brings the two nations even closer.
Currently, direct flights already connect Manila to Muscat.
But the ambassador revealed they are preparing for expansion.
“We are ready to increase the number of flights,” he said.
“There is a plan for another direct flight to Cebu… not only Oman Air, but other airlines as well.”
More flights, more options, more Filipinos reaching Oman’s shores.
Why Visit Oman? The Ambassador Answers With Heart
With a smile, Ambassador Manwari encouraged Filipinos to experience what makes Oman truly special.
“We have mountains, we have the coast, we have sands…” he said, painting a picture of a country full of beauty and contrast.
“For our Filipino friends, please visit Oman. It is something amazing. It is unique in the Middle East.”
And soon, Filipinos can explore all of it—without the hassle of a visa.
