After three years of silence, talent manager Ogie Diaz and his former talent Liza Soberano have finally reconnected and the moment was filled with warmth and emotion.
Ogie happily shared the update in his YouTube vlog uploaded on January 6. According to him, Liza replied to his birthday greeting through an Instagram direct message.
It was a simple exchange.
But it meant a lot.
Ogie explained that in the past, he chose not to greet Liza on her birthday. Not because he was hurt, but because he did not want his message to feel forced or insincere.
“I didn’t have any bad feelings,” Ogie said. “I just didn’t want it to seem fake.”
This time, things were different.
“I don’t care what people say now. I genuinely greeted her,” he added.
Ogie admitted that he misses his former talent. That feeling pushed him to finally reach out and he was genuinely happy when Liza responded.
In his birthday message, Ogie wrote:
“Happy birthday, Liza Soberano! I hope you achieve your dream of making it big in Hollywood. I also hope you are surrounded by the right people who will help you get there faster. Love you, Hopie!”
Liza replied warmly:
“Thank you, Tito Ogie. I hope you and the family are doing well.”
For Ogie, that short message spoke volumes.
He said Liza’s reply showed there was no resentment left between them.
“I was happy because her message showed there are no hard feelings,” Ogie said. “I don’t have any either. We’re not getting any younger. Why hold on to bitterness?”
Despite everything that happened between them as manager and talent, Ogie said he remains grateful to Liza and to the years they worked together.
Their professional split became public in 2023 following Liza’s controversial “I Am Hope” vlog and her interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, where she talked about leaving Ogie’s management.
Now, years later, a simple message has reopened a line of communication, proving that time and sincerity can heal even the most talked-about misunderstandings.
