Number of fully vaccinated Filipinos inches up to 12,460,438

Interviewed at the sidelines of Moderna vaccines delivery over PTV, Galvez also said the government has so far administered 27,552,717 doses of vaccines. Of this number, more than 15 million got their first COVID-19 jabs.
ECQ extension?
Asked about the possible extension of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), Galvez said they will meet about lockdown restrictions after their weekly meeting with the President on Monday.
“We will wait for the IATF meeting, sa ngayon baka makapag-meeting kami after our meeting with the President this coming Monday [We will meet after the Cabinet briefing with the President this coming Monday],” said Galvez.
Metro Manila is under an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) status until Aug. 20 to allow local government units to tighten measures against highly contagious Delta variant.
Other provinces also followed suit to stop the COVID-19 community transmission.
