No Visa Needed? Filipinos’ Taiwan Trip Made Easy Until 2026!

Big news for Filipino travelers!
Taiwan just made it easier—again—for Pinoys to visit without needing a visa!

🛬 What’s Happening?

On Saturday, June 14, Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) announced that Filipinos can continue entering Taiwan without a visa for another year!

That means if you’re dreaming of bubble tea, cherry blossoms, or a trip to Taipei 101—you’re in luck!

🗓️ New visa-free period:
August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026

🤔 Why Is Taiwan Doing This?

Taiwan wants to build better friendships with countries like the Philippines, Thailand, and Brunei.

They are doing this under something called the New Southbound Policy—a special plan to create stronger bonds with Southeast Asia.

So they asked many agencies in Taiwan to study if this “no visa” rule is working. And the answer was: YES!

🌏 More Good News!

Taiwan is not only extending visa-free travel. They are also:

Extending the “High-End Group Tourists” program for Southeast Asians until December 31, 2026
Keeping the Online Travel Authorization Certificate (TAC)—this lets some Southeast Asians skip the visa if they meet special conditions

🛡️ What About Safety?

Taiwan made it clear: while they want more tourists, they still care about keeping their borders and people safe.

They said:

“We want to welcome friends, but we’ll still be careful.”

So they’ll keep checking and improving these rules from time to time to make sure everything stays secure.

📖 A Little History

Did you know?
Filipinos were first allowed to visit Taiwan without a visa in 2017, but only for 14 days.

It was a test back then, but guess what? The test went so well that they’ve renewed it many times—and now, it’s extended again!

✨ So, What Does This Mean?

If you’re Filipino and planning a vacation, you can still say:

👉 “Taiwan, here I come—no visa needed!”

From exploring night markets to visiting temples, Taiwan is waiting. And you don’t need to go through the visa hassle—until 2026!

Will this be the last extension? Or will Taiwan make it permanent someday?
Stay tuned, because your next travel adventure might just be a heartbeat away. 💼🌸
