JERUSALEM — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is 75 years old, got really sick from something he ate, his office said on Sunday.
🍽️💥 After eating, he didn’t feel well and became very sick overnight. Doctors found out he had food poisoning, which means the food he ate probably had bad bacteria that made his stomach and intestines hurt a lot.
đź’§ He also got dehydrated, which means he lost too much water in his body. Because of this, doctors are giving him fluids through a needle (called an IV) to help him feel better faster.
🏠The doctors told him to stay home and rest for three days. But even though he’s not going to the office, they said he will still do his important job as Prime Minister from home — like signing papers, making decisions, and leading the country from his bed.
❤️‍🩹 This isn’t the first time Prime Minister Netanyahu had health problems:
-
In 2023, he got a pacemaker — a tiny device that helps his heart beat properly.
-
In December, doctors removed his prostate after he had an infection called a urinary tract infection (UTI).
💬 For now, his office says he’s doing okay and just needs to rest.
Let’s hope Prime Minister Netanyahu feels better soon and gets back to work strong and healthy! 🌟
