Portland Trailblazers star Damian Lillard has reportedly given a whopping P1 million to help in the rebuilding of the fire-ravaged Philippine General Hospital.
Known for his endgame heroics, the 6-foot-3 guard came up clutch once again, this time with this hefty donation that will no doubt help the PGH, which was heavily damaged by a fire last month.
Actress Yassi Pressman—the person who initiated the donation drive—gave thanks to the basketball star for his generosity.
“Huuuuuge thanks to big brother Damian Lillard for sending over such a generous amount, kahit na wala siya sa Pilipinas, just to be able to help,” posted Pressman on her social media account.
Pressman, who like Lillard is a brand ambassador of adidas, initiated the drive after paying the PGH a visit last weekend.
“Last Saturday we took the time to visit PGH, the hospital was in dire need of help. Coming to PGH made me deeply appreciate all the nurses, the volunteers, the staff, and the mission of the hospital,” Pressman added.
“It was really heartbreaking seeing all of the infants, sobrang saludo po ako sa lahat ng mga tumulong.”(JNP)
