MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm “Nando” continues to accelerate as it moves over to the Philippine Sea, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday.
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Nando’s center was estimated to be 1,005 kilometers east of Central Luzon.
It is moving westward at 20 km per hour (kph), with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
Storm signals have not been hoisted, as of posting time.
Pagasa said its next update would be at 5 p.m.
