Actress and content creator Mika Salamanca made a heartfelt decision to undergo tattoo removal in preparation for her upcoming acting projects.
In a TikTok video shared by Aivee Clinic, Mika bravely showed the process of erasing her tattoos — a step that, for her, was more emotional than physical.
“This is hard for me ’cause I love my tattoos and all of them have meanings,” Mika admitted. “Before I got them, I really thought about each one.”
Every tattoo told a story. But now, her growing acting career demanded a clean slate.
“I decided to remove some of my tattoos because I need to for acting. For my future projects,” she said.
Mika shared that it has become difficult to hide her tattoos during tapings and brand endorsements. Despite her love for body art, she knew this was a sacrifice she had to make — for now.
“Ever since I was young, I’ve loved tattoos. I don’t think I’ll ever stop getting them — maybe just pause for now,” she explained. “In the future, when I decide to focus on music again, maybe I’ll get more. But for now, it’s removal time.”
Mika’s fans remember her as the Big Winner of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” alongside Brent Manalo. She is currently part of “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre,” portraying Anaca, and will soon appear in the highly anticipated GMA Network and ABS-CBN collaboration, “Secrets of Hotel 88.”
Beyond acting, Mika is also a singer and children’s book author, known for her inspiring work “Lipad.”
For Mika, erasing her tattoos isn’t about erasing her past — it’s about clearing the path for a brighter, more versatile future on screen.
