Kapuso heartthrob Miguel Tanfelix has finally checked off one of his biggest travel goals — setting foot in the breathtaking Machu Picchu in Peru.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site, also recognized as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, became the highlight of Miguel’s solo backpacking adventure. On Instagram, he shared a two-part reel capturing his journey, giving fans a glimpse of his excitement and awe.
“Sobrang excited ako pero sana, sana ’wag umulan,” Miguel said in the video, hoping the skies would cooperate.
And they did. By the time he reached the top, the skies had cleared — unveiling a panoramic view of the centuries-old stone structures. His joy was written all over his face as he stood before the majestic landmark.
Getting there wasn’t easy. Miguel endured a grueling 24 hours of travel from the Philippines to South America, a testament to his adventurous spirit. Just before this trip, he also enjoyed a getaway in Seoul with fellow Kapuso star Ysabel Ortega.
The well-deserved break comes after a busy year for Miguel. In June, he bid farewell to his role as Kidlat in Mga Batang Riles. He also appeared in Zephanie’s music video “Kunwari Lang” before taking time off to recharge.
Now, with Machu Picchu’s magic forever etched in his memory, Miguel has shown fans that dreams are worth chasing — even if it takes thousands of miles to get there.
