Miguel Tanfelix’s solo adventure in South America just got even tastier. This time, the Sparkle star found himself wandering through Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires, Argentina—with one delicious mission: to try the country’s beloved street food, the Choripán.
For those unfamiliar, Choripán is a simple yet iconic sandwich—grilled chorizo sausage tucked into bread, topped with chimichurri sauce. The name itself is a blend of the words chorizo and pan (bread).
Miguel shared in his reel that his search wasn’t random at all—it was inspired by a tip from a local.
“May local na nagsabi sa’kin, south of Puerto Madero, nandoon daw kumakain ang mga locals ng Choripán ‘pag sunset. Gusto ko lang ma-experience ‘yung ginagawa nila,” he said.
And so he did. After nearly an hour of walking—and even hopping on a car ride—Miguel finally got his hands on the authentic Choripán. A smile on his face made it clear: the hunt was worth it.
A Journey Beyond Food
Argentina marks the third stop in Miguel’s South American backpacking adventure. His trip began in São Paulo, Brazil, followed by a breathtaking visit to Machu Picchu in Peru.
This getaway came after a busy season for the actor. In June, he officially signed off from his role as Kidlat in Mga Batang Riles. He also appeared in Zephanie’s music video “Kunwari Lang” before finally taking a much-deserved break.
Before South America, Miguel also traveled to Seoul, South Korea with fellow Sparkle star Ysabel Ortega.
Now, with every step, every meal, and every new country, Miguel continues to share not just a journey—but an adventure that feels personal, grounded, and full of life.
