Michelin Guide reveals 5 must-stay hotels in the Philippines 2025

The Philippines has once again made its mark on the global stage of luxury travel. The Michelin Guide, famous for awarding stars to the world’s best restaurants, has unveiled its prestigious Key Hotel distinction—and five stunning Philippine properties made it to the 2025 list.

Much like the Michelin Stars for dining, the Michelin Key celebrates hotels that offer unforgettable hospitality. These are not just places to stay—they are destinations in themselves, promising design, architecture, service, and soul that stand above the rest.

The guide describes Key Hotels as “the crème de la crème” of its global collection, with three tiers of recognition:

  • One Key – A very special stay

  • Two Keys – An exceptional stay

  • Three Keys – An extraordinary stay

🌟 The 5 Philippine Hotels with One Michelin Key (2025):

  • Amanpulo, Palawan – A secluded paradise where white sand meets world-class luxury.

  • Dusit Thani Mactan, Cebu – A tropical haven blending Thai-inspired hospitality with Cebu’s natural charm.

  • Fairmont Makati, Metro Manila – A sophisticated escape in the heart of the business district.

  • Nay Palad, Siargao – An eco-luxury sanctuary surrounded by the island’s surf and serenity.

  • Raffles Makati, Metro Manila – Timeless elegance and service that defines classic luxury.

This recognition follows the Michelin Guide’s expansion in the Philippines. By August 2025, 20 local hotels had already been recommended, proving the country’s growing reputation as a premier luxury destination.

A Historic Milestone Ahead

The excitement doesn’t stop here. On October 30, 2026, Manila will host the inaugural Michelin Guide Ceremony: Manila and Environs & Cebu at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Newport World Resorts.

For the very first time, the event will unveil the Michelin restaurant selection for the Philippines—complete with the much-coveted Michelin Stars and Bib Gourmand honorees.

More Than Just Awards

For travelers, this recognition is an invitation. For Filipinos, it’s a moment of pride. These five hotels are not just places to sleep—they are stories of world-class service, heartfelt hospitality, and destinations that honor the spirit of the Philippines.
