In a heartfelt visit to the Nuvali Steel Processing Center, located in the bustling Laguna Technopark Annex in Biñan City, he underscored an inspiring collaboration between the government and the private sector.
Marcos explored the impressive strides made in manufacturing capabilities, especially through the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) support. This partnership is designed to bring advanced Industry 4.0 technologies to the forefront via the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP). It’s a monumental step toward positioning local businesses—and our beloved country—on the international stage.
He was visibly proud as he inspected the facility, highlighting its production of top-notch motorcycle components and machinery that now meet international standards. “It is government and private sector working hand in hand,” Marcos stated passionately, “to help the private sector become state-of-the-art so that we can compete on an international level.”
Imagine a future where we no longer rely on foreign imports for our motorcycle parts. “Karamihan ng piyesa, ng motorsiklo, dito na manggagaling. (Most of the parts for motorcycles will come from here.)” Marcos emphasized. This isn’t just about manufacturing; it’s about creating value that stays within our borders, ensuring that the supply chain flourishes right here in the Philippines.
By strengthening our domestic supply chain, we’re not only bolstering the industry but also paving the way for countless opportunities. “Pagka matibay ang supply chain, mas malaki ang production, mas maraming trabaho, mas marami tayong magiging produkto na puwedeng gamitin,” he articulated. (The stronger the supply chain, the greater the production, the more jobs we will have, and the more products we will be able to use.)
Marcos envisioned a ripple effect. As the manufacturing sector grows, so will job opportunities and innovation, leading to a robust economy ripe with possibilities.
