Man nabbed for blackmailing ex-girlfriend with sex videos

A man who allegedly filmed his girlfriend without consent and used the explicit video to blackmail her was arrested in an entrapment operation in Las Piñas City.

According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras,” agents of the National Bureau of Investigation swooped down on a room where the two were staying after the victim sought the help of authorities.

The victim said she met the suspect through a dating application in 2020. They had a sexual relationship, and sometimes, the suspect would take videos of their acts against her will.

A year later, she decided to break up with the suspect, but the latter started threatening her that he would release their videos.

Ganoon yung sinasabi niya sa akin,” said Nena (not her real name).

For fear that the video would spread, she agreed to meet the suspect anew, which lasted for two years.

Ubos na pasensya ko sa iyo.’ doon na ako na alarma,” Nena said, which prompted her to report the matter to the NBI Anti-Organized and Transnational Crime Division (AOTCD).

The suspect, Oliver Torres, said he did not want to be separated from the victim.

“Nabulag po ako sa sobrang kagustuhan na makasama siya,” said the suspect.

The NBI filed multiple complaints against the suspect, including rape through sexual assault.

Upon examination of the suspect’s cellular phone, the NBI found at least 50 sex videos of the suspect with 10 different women.

The authorities have called on the other victims to come forward and file a complaint against the suspect.—Sherylin Untalan/LDF, GMA Integrated News
