MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that several parts of the country would be affected by a low pressure area located 140 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.
As of posting time, the LPA has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
Because of the LPA, Metro Manila, Visayas, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Zamboanga del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides because of moderate to heavy rains, according to the weather bureau’s early morning bulletin.
Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon and the rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of easterlies and localized thunderstorms respectively.
Temperature range for Saturday is from 24.5 to 32.4 degrees Celsius, while relative humidity is from 60 to 97 percent.
