MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) spotted off Infanta, Quezon has developed into a tropical depression named “Mirasol,” the 13th storm to hit the country this year.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA intensified past 2 p.m. into a tropical depression.
Pagasa chief Nathaniel Servando said the weather agency will issue a tropical cyclone bulletin within the day.
