Love? Gretchen Ho shares the one thing she wants right now

Having a relationship isn’t at the top of her list. Right now, Gretchen Ho only has one wish: to have time to do stuff other than work.

The volleybelle-turned-television host revealed the one thing she wants at the moment as she tried out Thailand’s famous tradition of floating a basket carrying a candle and incense down a river.

Usually done during the Loy Krathong festival in November, the ritual is the Thais’ way of giving thanks to their water goddess Phra Mae Khongkha, in addition to them offering up their wishes for the future.

The basket, often made with banana leaves and decorated with colorful flowers, is also said to carry away one’s troubles, cleansing them for the year ahead.

Ho, who recently broke up with her longtime boyfriend Robi Domingo, described the tradition as perfect for those looking to have success in happiness and love.

And it appeared she chose the former when she made her wish, saying: “Goddess Phra Mae Khongkha, puwede bang makahingi ng time? Time lang naman hinihingi ko eh. Lagi na lang trabaho, puro trabaho na lang. Kaunting time lang. Kaunting kunti lang.”

Ho visited Thailand for an episode of “Matanglawin.”
