Kim Chiu reaches out to John Herrera over dress issue
Following a previous misunderstanding between her and designer John Herrera, Kim Chiu recently reached out to the latter to extend a peace offering.
As reported on PEP, the actress recently retweeted a statement from her stylist Patty Yap about the previous issue pertaining to Herrera’s dress for her, and wrote, “I hope this clarifies everything sir [John Herrera] and I really hope to meet you personally, not through your pep statement or with a third party.”
She added, “We are only doing our job which is our passion. Much love and respect sir.”
Herrera later responded to the message through the label’s official Twitter account, which read, “Thank you for the love and respect, [Kim Chiu]. We at John Herrera value our work as much as the women who wear them. We wish you only the best.”
The designer also shared screenshots from the tweets on Instagram, writing, “She tweeted me, and I tweeted her. And this is the last we shall speak of the matter.”
The issue sparked earlier this week when Herrera claimed that he was approached by the organisers of FAMAS to design the outfits for the hosts of the event held on 10 June, but was told by a FAMAS rep later on that Chiu will only wear it if she wants to.
