Can you imagine acting with a big Hollywood star like Susan Sarandon? Well, Iñigo Pascual did exactly that when he got a role in the American TV show “Monarch.”
In a fun interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Iñigo told everyone how exciting—and scary—it was to work on a U.S. show for the first time!
Nervous But Brave!
Iñigo said, “I was nervous as heck!” That means he was really, really nervous. And who wouldn’t be? It was his first time filming in the U.S., and he had to do everything on his own.
In the Philippines, stars usually have a handler or road manager to help them on set. But in the U.S., Iñigo had to show up by himself, and that made him even more nervous. He said,
“You’ll be picked up, but you’re the only one going to the set. That was my first experience like that.”
What’s “Monarch” All About?
The show “Monarch” is about a rich and famous country music family called The Romans. But their family’s reputation is in danger! The character Nicky, played by Anna Friel, does everything she can to save their legacy.
Iñigo plays Ace Grayson, a cool and important character in the story. And guess who else is in the show?

Even though Susan Sarandon is a huge star, Iñigo said everyone was super friendly.
“They treated me like family, just like how we do in the Philippines,” he shared with a smile.
Did He Get Paid Well?
When asked if the pay was good, Iñigo smiled and said,
“Hollywood payment kumbaga. Good naman po.”
(That means yes, he got paid really well!)
What’s Next for Iñigo?
Iñigo said he’s been busy with auditions in the U.S. and is loving the process. And guess what? In 2025, he’ll be the lead actor in a brand-new movie in the U.S.!
He couldn’t say much about it yet, but he’s super excited!
Back in the Philippines…
Iñigo is also starring in a Filipino movie called “Fatherland” with Allen Dizon, Richard Yap, and more! It’s directed by Joel Lamangan and is now showing in cinemas.
Iñigo is really making waves both in Hollywood and here at home. From being super nervous to starring in big shows, he’s proving that Filipino talent belongs on the world stage!
