Jericho Rosales didn’t hold back when asked how he is as a boyfriend to actress Janine Gutierrez. With a playful smile and a spark of honesty, he said, “I think I’m an amazing boyfriend.”
During his guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda last Tuesday, October 14, the Quezon-born actor opened up about love, lessons, and what makes his relationship with Janine special.
“She says that all the time. She says that she’s so lucky,” Jericho shared, clearly smitten.
The actor admitted that he’s far from perfect. He’s made mistakes in the past — ones he’s owned up to and learned from. Those experiences, he said, helped him grow into the kind of man he is today.
“I think right now, I’m pouring all of the lessons into this relationship,” Jericho said sincerely.
“Janine is the recipient of my humility, my honesty, and my excitement for sharing great things together. And the maturity — I think that’s what it is. Maybe that’s why she enjoys the 10-year gap.”
There was a sense of calm in his words — the kind that comes from someone who’s loved, lost, and learned.
Jericho also revealed that jealousy has no place in their relationship. Both of them, he said, deeply understand the demands of their careers and choose to trust rather than doubt.
“I’m so lucky because she’s also a great actress, and we both understand our jobs,” he explained.
“We don’t like that kind of energy.”
