A Son’s Quest for Answers: A Heartfelt Journey After His Mother’s Untimely Passing
In a heartfelt pursuit for the truth, Filipino-American reality television personality Ronn Tristan Perez recently met with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) regarding the tragic death of his mother. Just a week after undergoing multiple cosmetic surgeries at a clinic, she passed away, leaving behind a son desperate for answers.
On a poignant Monday report by Bea Pinlac for 24 Oras, Ronn shared his emotional journey as he sat down with NBI Director Melvin Matibag. “He was kind enough to hear my mom’s case,” Ronn expressed, his voice filled with a blend of hope and sorrow. “I can’t go into every detail, but the biggest thing they have given me is the confidence that they will look at this fairly.”
While Ronn was clear in stating he wasn’t blaming the clinic, his heart longed for clarity. “I just want to know what happened to my mom,” he revealed, his ache palpable. “It’s been a very long process to find information, and since her passing, the clinic hasn’t reached out to me at all.”
His journey has been filled with frustration and grief. “If they tell me they did everything right, then I can at least find peace in knowing someone else looked into it.”
Six months have passed since the tragic day on March 9 when Ronn’s 54-year-old mother succumbed to pulmonary embolism, a serious condition caused by a blood clot blocking an artery in the lungs. Just days before, she had undergone four plastic surgery procedures, including a Brazilian butt lift and liposuction on March 2.
Ronn reflected on his mother’s emotional state leading up to her surgeries. “I think she was sad, desperate…It’s a lot of things,” he shared, his eyes glossy with unshed tears. “Looking in the mirror and not being happy with what you see— that can take a toll on anybody.”
For Ronn, his mother wasn’t just a parent; she was his best friend. “She knew how much I loved her. She knew how grateful I was for her sacrifices,” he said, choking back emotions. “I know how proud she was of me.”
