Elle Villanueva on Thea Tolentino as a co-actress: ‘Hindi siya madamot sa emotions niya’

Following their intense confrontation scene earlier this week on “Makiling,” Elle Villanueva expressed her admiration for co-star, Thea Tolentino.

In a media conference on Thursday, Elle commended Thea for how great she is at portraying her role.

“Kapag magka-eksena po kami ni Thea, nararamdaman mo talaga ‘yung pag-connect niya sa ‘kin. Even off-cam, nafi-feel ko na ate ko siya,” Elle said.

She added that Thea is really dedicated to her craft, so working with her was such a breeze.

“Hindi mo kailangan bigyan ng malaking preparation, kasi ramdam mo talaga eh, ramdam mo talaga siya. And what I really admire about her as an actor, kasi nga, hindi siya madamot sa emotions niya,” Elle said.

Thea thanked Elle, and gave credit to the entire team behind the series, saying all that they did was connect with each other.

“Ang maganda dito sa show na ‘to, ang ginawa po talaga namin is nag-connect lang kami sa lahat. Hindi lang sa co-actors during the scene, kundi pati sa mga bumubuo ng ‘Makiling’ kasi kung ‘di po namin maintindihan din ‘yung side nila, parang hindi magiging isa ‘yung goal namin,” she said.

The Sparkle star admitted that it was not easy playing her character.

“Aaminin ko na talagang nahirapan akong i-portray si Rose kasi gray character si Rose and ako, sanay ako sa lagi lang galit, laging very kontrabida, ito kasi parang gitna talaga. Hirap po akong maging mabait kaya naging challenge ‘to for me,” she said.

Aside from “Makiling,” Thea also starred in “Mano po Legacy: The Flower Sisters” as Dahlia and in “Lolong” as Celia.

She also worked on “The Half Sisters” with Barbie Forteza.

Meanwhile, “Makiling” will begin its finale week on April 29 at 4 p.m.
