The “King of Talk” Boy Abunda didn’t waste time asking for an update about newlyweds EA Guzman and Shaira Diaz, just six days after their wedding. Everyone was curious—was EA finally “happy” after joking before that Shaira just slept on him during their first night as husband and wife?
On Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Tito Boy reminded EA about what he said: that Shaira fell asleep right away on their wedding night, even though she promised in her wedding vows that he would be “happy” once they were married.
It was known that the couple had agreed to wait until marriage before doing what married couples usually do.
EA admitted with a laugh, “It’s true, Tito Boy. She really slept because she was tired. I understood. She woke up earlier than me, prepared for the whole day, and by the time we got to the hotel, she was exhausted. We just spent time together in the room, counting moments.”
Shaira, smiling, added, “I told him I didn’t want him to see me looking so tired. I want him to enjoy me—not just my tired face.”
After this, Boy Abunda asked them directly how things were going now that they had been married for six days. Both looked at each other, smiled, and EA raised his hands saying, “Two thumbs up!”—making the studio laugh.
But when it came to starting a family, EA and Shaira were clear: not yet.
“Not now, Tito Boy. We want to enjoy our time together first,” EA answered.
Shaira agreed, adding, “We want to enjoy each other’s company as husband and wife.”
