The Department of Health (DOH) on Sunday reported 277 new COVID infections, while the country’s active cases tally further decreased to 28,380.
Based on the DOH’s data posted on its website, this brings the nationwide COVID-19 tally to 3,681,374.
The health department said total recoveries rose to 3,593,225, while the country’s death toll climbed to 59,769.
Meanwhile, the top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region (NCR) with 1,380, followed by Calabarzon with 514 and Central Luzon with 367.
The DOH said at least 18,009 individuals were tested, while 293 testing labs submitted data as of April 9.
It noted that the bed occupancy in the country is 16.4%, with 5,375 beds occupied, while 27,377 vacant. — Mel Matthew Doctor/BM, GMA News
