The distribution of enhanced community quarantine cash aid to beneficiaries in Metro Manila was 98.39% complete, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Ano reported.
In a taped briefing on Saturday, Ano said P11,075,148,000 had been distributed to 11,075,148 beneficiaries.
Metro Manila was placed under an ECQ from August 6 to 20, in a bid to slow down the transmission of the Delta COVID-19 variant in the country.
From August 21 to September 7, Metro Manila was placed under a MECQ.
Around 11 million NCR residents would benefit from the cash assistance.
The cash aid provides P1,000 per individual or up to P4,000 maximum per household. — DVM, GMA News
