Dingdong Dantes & Max Collins Celebrate Growth in ‘The Master Cutter’

A Heartfelt Reunion: Dingdong Dantes and Max Collins in “The Master Cutter”

In an exciting return to the screen, Dingdong Dantes and Max Collins are reuniting for “The Master Cutter,” their first major project together in almost 14 years. Their last collaboration was in the beloved 2012 series “Pahiram ng Sandali,” a journey they both cherish deeply.

In a heartfelt interview with GMA News Online, the two Kapuso stars reflected on their growth, both as artists and individuals, since that first project. Dingdong fondly recalled watching Max transform into a talented actress over the years.

“I witnessed Max’s incredible growth as an artist. Our first project was with the esteemed Direk Maryo J. de los Reyes. It was an intense experience that really pushed both of us. I saw just how remarkable she has become, especially now,” he expressed, his pride evident in every word.

For Dingdong, this reunion is not just about work; it holds a special significance due to the friendship they’ve nurtured throughout the years. “This is a beautiful reunion for us. Honestly, I’m even happier because I consider Max a very good friend. We’re both part of the same talent management,” he shared, his warmth shining through.

In a light-hearted moment, he mentioned that Max might even have a closer bond with his wife, Marian, than with him. “I believe she’s actually better friends with Marian than with me!” he joked, illustrating the camaraderie they’ve built over time.

For Max, returning to work with Dingdong after more than a decade feels like stepping into a new chapter. “It’s been so fun to see him again. The last time we worked together was ten years ago, and I was so young and nervous back then. Now, as adults, there’s a different dynamic,” she said, reflecting on their shared journey.

Their conversations have matured too, shifting from initial jitters to discussions about family life and parenting. “We talk about our kids and our adult lives. It’s been such a great ride! He’s also an amazing actor and director, so I’m learning so much from him,” she added, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

Directed by Dominic Zapata, “The Master Cutter” also features a talented cast, including Paolo Contis, Jo Berry, Sienna Stevens, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie Fleming, and Anthony Constantino.

Mark your calendars! The series is set to premiere on GMA Prime on Monday, May 11, and will be available for streaming on Netflix starting May 8.

This reunion is just the beginning of a new adventure—filled with laughter, growth, and heartfelt memories. Stay tuned for the magic they will create together!
