The Department of the Interior and Local Government said Friday that in-person Christmas parties are allowed in areas under COVID-19 Alert Level 2 as long as health protocols and the 50% venue capacity limit are observed.
“In Alert Level 2 areas, it is allowed at 50% venue capacity, and additional 10% if the venue has a safety seal, minimum public health standards such as wearing of face mask, social distancing, should be strictly observed, too,” DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said during the Laging Handa briefing.
“If these Christmas parties violate these, then the safety seal will be revoked and the business permit of the establishment will be suspended,” Malaya added.
Metro Manila will remain under Alert Level 2 until December 15.
Under Alert Level 2 — the second lowest in the new COVID-19 alert level system — certain establishments and activities are allowed at 50% indoor capacity for fully vaccinated adults (and minors, even if unvaccinated) and 70% capacity for outdoor events. –LBG, GMA News
