A Filipino family just received very sad news.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed that a Filipino worker named Francis Aragon was found dead in Myanmar after a very strong earthquake hit the country on March 28. The earthquake had a magnitude of 7.7, which means it was very powerful and caused buildings to fall.
Francis had been missing for several days after his condo building collapsed during the earthquake. Everyone was hoping he would be found alive. But on Wednesday, the DFA shared that his body was identified last night.
🕊️ His Family Was Informed
The DFA said that they have already told Francis’ family about what happened. They also said they won’t give more details right now because they want to respect the family’s feelings during this sad time.
Francis’ brother, Alvin Aragon, posted on Facebook to let others know. He wrote:
“We would like to inform you that our sibling has been found, and though it hurts us to accept it, he is now with the Creator.”
That means they believe Francis is now in heaven.
🙏 Still Hoping for the Others
Francis was one of four Filipinos who went missing after the earthquake. The DFA said they are still hoping and praying that the other three Filipinos will be found.
