More Filipinos abroad are getting infected with the coronavirus disease, as 42 new cases were recorded today, bringing the total to 245.
Of the total confirmed cases, the Department of Foreign Affairs said that 133 are undergoing treatment, 108 have recovered and discharged from the hospital, and four have died of COVID-19.
DFA noted that the overseas Filipinos who tested positive for COVID-19 were located in 28 countries. There are 126 cases of Filipinos infected in Asia Pacific, 50 in Europe, 47 in the Middle East and Africa, and 22 in the Americas.
Globally, there are now 537,042 cases of the New Coronavirus in 176 countries. More than 24,000 have been reported, yet 123,312 people around the world have recovered from the virus.
