A new chapter has opened in the long and painful case of the missing sabungeros.
This time, it comes with a warrant.
A Regional Trial Court in San Pablo, Laguna has issued a fresh warrant of arrest against businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang and five other individuals in connection with the disappearance of several cockfighting enthusiasts.
The order was signed by Judge Luvina Roque of San Pablo RTC Branch 29.
The charge?
Kidnapping with serious illegal detention.
A non-bailable offense.
That means if arrested, bail is not an option.
The Names in the Warrant
Alongside Ang, the warrant also names:
• Ryan Jay Orapa
• Alfredo Uy Andes
• Philip Almedilla
• Joey Encarnacion
• Aaron Ezrah Cabillan
Each now facing the weight of a charge that carries severe consequences.
A Case That Refuses to Fade
The disappearance of the sabungeros shocked the nation.
Families waited.
Searches were conducted.
Questions multiplied.
Where did they go?
What happened that night?
Who is responsible?
For months, the case lingered in public consciousness — a painful reminder for the loved ones left behind.
Now, with this new warrant, the legal battle intensifies.
What Happens Next?
The issuance of a warrant does not mean guilt.
It means the court believes there is probable cause to proceed.
Authorities are now expected to move to serve the warrants and bring the accused before the court.
As of this writing, GMA Integrated News has reached out to the camp of Atong Ang for comment regarding the arrest order.
No statement has yet been released.
