Caloocan families get housing assistance

OVER 1,000 families in Caloocan City have benefited from the Emergency Housing Assistance Program of the National Housing Authority (NHA), Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan said on Thursday.

Each family received P10,000 as emergency housing relief.

Malapitan said that the turnover process of several housing units to qualified beneficiaries, especially those at the Deparo and Banker’s Residences, has started, as well as the issuance of Certificate of Entitlement for Lot Allocation.

“We can assure the NHA and other concerned government agencies that the local government will be their constant partners to ensure the provision of housing units to the qualified residents, especially those displaced by calamities and those who live along danger zones like riverbanks and other waterways,” Malapitan said.

The housing assistance was part of the “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Tapat para sa Lahat” initiative of the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
