Tucked away in the quiet hills of Dimiao, Bohol lies a breathtaking secret — the Pahangog Twin Falls, a hidden paradise so stunning that even foreign travelers can’t help but fall in love with it.
Standing tall at 300 meters, the twin cascades spill into a crystal-clear natural pool below — the perfect spot to swim, unwind, and soak in nature’s calm surrounded by mountains and lush greenery.
As seen in Marisol Abduraman’s report on “State of the Nation,” reaching this hidden gem is part of the adventure itself. Visitors must climb a 100-step staircase, a roughly 40-minute trek, before being rewarded with the mesmerizing view of the falls.
Among those enchanted by its beauty is James McLlroy, a New Zealander who traded his busy city life for the serene charm of Bohol.
“Being retired at such a young age here in the Philippines gives me a lot of time to explore and discover hidden spots many tourists never see,” James shared.
Having visited many waterfalls across the country, he says Pahangog Falls stands out as one of his absolute favorites.
“It’s a very beautiful place,” he said with a smile.
But beyond admiration, James also reminds fellow travelers to show respect and gratitude to the locals who care for these natural wonders.
“You’re in another country, and the locals work so hard to maintain these places. Looking after them as much as you can — that’s what I’d really recommend,” he said.
For those seeking peace, adventure, and a glimpse of untouched beauty, Pahangog Falls in Bohol offers more than just a view — it’s a quiet reminder that paradise often hides off the beaten path.
