Cebu’s tropical beauty just got a global spotlight—thanks to BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.
The K-pop superstar recently delighted fans after sharing a series of photos from the set of her upcoming South Korean series, “Boyfriend on Demand,” filmed in the Philippines.
And the pictures?
They looked like a dream.
Posted on her Instagram, Jisoo gave fans a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of her time in Cebu, where part of the series was filmed at the stunning Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort.
In the photos, the BLACKPINK member appears relaxed and radiant.
One moment shows her posing with the resort’s tropical scenery behind her.
Another captures her aboard a boat, surrounded by clear blue waters.
In one peaceful shot, she’s simply lounging under the sun, enjoying a drink while taking in the island’s beauty.
The images quickly sent fans into a frenzy online.
But the photos didn’t stop there.
Jisoo also shared sweet moments with her co-star Seo In Guk, giving fans a glimpse of the chemistry they’ll see in the upcoming romantic series.
Meanwhile, Netflix Philippines also joined the excitement by releasing a short clip from the show.
In the scene, Jisoo’s character Mi Rae finds herself daydreaming about the Philippines.
As Cebu’s breathtaking landscapes fill the screen, her thoughts reveal a quiet longing.
“Last summer in the Philippines was the best,” Mi Rae reflects.
“I wish I could go swimming. When is summer coming?”
The line captures exactly what many viewers feel when they see the island’s turquoise waters and golden beaches.
But this isn’t the first time Jisoo was spotted in Cebu.
Back in February last year, fans were already buzzing after Jisoo and Seo In Guk were seen filming scenes around the island for the romantic drama.
The upcoming series “Boyfriend on Demand” follows the story of Mi Rae, an overworked television producer who decides to try a unique service called “Monthly Boyfriend.”
The concept is simple—but intriguing.
Through the service, Mi Rae can create and experience her ideal romantic partner whenever she wants, exploring different relationships while searching for what truly makes her happy.
For fans, the show promises a mix of romance, fantasy, and emotional storytelling.
Outside of acting, Jisoo and the rest of BLACKPINK continue to dominate the global music scene.
In November 2025, the group brought their massive “Deadline World Tour” to the Philippine Arena, where thousands of Filipino fans gathered to see them perform live.
After the concert, Jisoo touched fans even more when she posted a heartfelt thank-you message in Filipino.
