BINI makes history: First all-Filipino pop group to perform at Coachella 2026

(UPDATE) P-POP girl group BINI will make history at Coachella 2026 as the first all-Filipino pop act to join the lineup of the world-renowned music and arts festival in California.

The eight-member group was confirmed Tuesday (Manila time) in Coachella’s official roster, which also highlights chart-toppers Sabrina Carpenter, Katseye, Foster the People, Disclosure and Central Cee for the April 10 to 17 festival dates.

Global superstar Justin Bieber and Latin music queen Karol G are set to headline the weekends on April 11 to 18 and April 12 to 19, respectively.

BINI follows other artists of Filipino heritage who recently made their mark on the Coachella stage, including Filipino British singer-songwriter Beabadoobee and Filipino American performers Eyedress and Underscores, who all appeared at the 2025 festival.

Meanwhile, social media star Niana Guerrero made a surprise cameo during American singer d4vd’s set.

“It’s official… #BINI is heading to Coachella 2026! See you there, Blooms!!” the group — comprised of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena — announced on social media.

They also shared their excitement on their individual accounts.

“Finally! Another dream of ours is ticked off the list. Coachella here we come!!!!! THANK YOU LORD AAAAAAHHHH,” member Aiah wrote on Facebook.

“Coachella mag-ingay. ‘pag may pupuntang blooms sa coachella papa-brown na ulit ako buhok (Make noise for Coachella! If there are Blooms going there, I’m going to go back to brown hair!),” joked Maloi.

“See you in Coachella? Grabe ka Lord! thank you Lord,” Gwen wrote also on X.

“God you are incredible,” Stacey said.

“Coachella (face holding back tears emoji),” Mikha simply said.

“Thank you Lord!!!” Jhoanna said on Instagram.

“Sa Luzon Visayas ba o Coachella kaya !!!Grabeeee thank you Lord,” Sheena said on X (formerly Twitter).

For many non-Western artists, Coachella is seen as a breakthrough moment. The festival draws more than 100,000 attendees per day and offers global livestreams and media coverage that can propel acts to new international opportunities.

Past landmark performances include Lady Gaga in 2017, Beyoncé in 2018, Ariana Grande in 2019, and Blackpink in 2019 and 2023.

The proudly Filipina group BINI has steadily expanded its global reach since debuting in 2021 with the single “Born to Win.” In July 2024, the group became the first Filipino pop act to perform at KCon LA’s pre-show at Crypto.com Arena. Four months later, they won Best Asia Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards, another first for a Filipino artist.

Beloved as the “Nation’s Girl Group,” BINI has produced viral hits in the last four years including “Pantropiko,” “Salamin, Salamin,” “Lagi,” “Karera,” and “Cherry on Top.”

Before the year ends, the girls will return to the mammoth Philippine Arena on Nov. 29 for their “BINIfied” year-end party concert, following the kickoff of their “BINIverse World Tour.”
