Bacolod City businessman shot dead in front of own office
A businessman was shot to death in front of his office yesterday by three unidentified gunmen along Narra Street in the village of Villamonte in Bacolod City.
Roland Tan, the owner of Crown Agri Infinity Lending Corporation, just entered his Toyota Land Cruiser when the assailants arrived and killed him at close range at about 5pm. Tan, who was supposed to go home, was wounded in his right ear and chest. He was brought to the city’s Riverside Medical Center for treatment but was declared dead on arrival.
The killers, who wore masks when they committed the crime, fled to nearby Yakal Street after shooting Tan. Investigators believe that Tan may have been killed in connection with his lending business. The police are now studying the CCTV footage obtained from the crime scene to determine the identity of the gunmen.
