Will Ashley and Xyriel Manabat, both young and rising stars, didn’t get to be a team inside Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition — but that doesn’t mean the story ends there.
Inside Bahay ni Kuya, Will and Xyriel became really good friends. They joked around a lot, laughed together, and many fans started hoping they’d become a real showbiz duo — like in a teleserye, movie, or even a love team.
But during the show, they weren’t paired together as a duo. And just when it seemed like they might be, something unexpected happened — a wildcard round.
🎭 The Almost-Duo That Could’ve Happened
In an interview at the GMA Gala 2025, Xyriel shared how she and Will always joked about working together after PBB.
“We always teased each other saying, ‘Let’s work together when we get out!’”
“Now, I really hope that funny joke becomes real someday.”
Will agreed and said he also wants to work with Xyriel someday, adding:
“I can’t even imagine how fun our scene would be together. I hope it happens.”
Both of them wished they were chosen as the final duo inside the PBB house. In fact, they almost were — but because of the wildcard round, that chance slipped away.
🔁 What Happened in the Wildcard Twist?
The wildcard round brought back two housemates — Ralph De Leon and Charlie Fleming. Because of this, everything changed.
Instead of becoming the last pair, Will and Xyriel stayed solo, and the housemates had to face individual nominations. Sadly, this twist ended with Xyriel and Vince Maristela being evicted from the house.
Xyriel said:
“Will told me we could’ve been the final duo… so if he meant it, we would’ve been paired up.”
Will confirmed:
“If Ralph didn’t come back, yep, I would’ve been with Xy.”
💡 What’s Next for Will & Xyriel?
Even though their duo dreams didn’t happen in PBB, they’re not giving up. They’re both hoping to work together on a project in the future — maybe a teleserye, maybe a movie… who knows?
But the good news is — fans will still see them together soon! Will, Xyriel, and their fellow PBB housemates will be performing live at The Big ColLOVE fan con at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
