Andrea Torres stole the spotlight in Episode 82 of Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre, which aired Tuesday night. Taking on the role of Ice Queen Mitena in disguise as the fierce and seductive dama Ayeshka, Andrea delivered a short but unforgettable performance that fans can’t stop talking about.
In an interview with Aubrey Carampel on 24 Oras, the Sparkle star revealed that she went through dance lessons and fight training to prepare for her captivating role. For Andrea, stepping into action and daring scenes again was both challenging and refreshing.
“Super happy ako kasi na-miss ko rin mag-fight scene, na-miss ko rin naman mag-pasexy somehow,” she shared with a smile. “Gumawa na rin ako ng soap na fantasy and action, so it’s nice to do that again.”
Her efforts clearly paid off. Andrea has been flooded with praises from fans who were blown away by her transformation into Ayeshka.
“Ang ingay ng Instagram ko,” she laughed. “Nakita ko rin ‘yung mga comments nila sa YouTube, super kilig ako syempre. Kasi ‘yun naman ang gusto natin every time may ginagawa tayong role—ma-appreciate ng tao, ma-entertain sila. At least na-achieve naman natin.”
Aside from her scene-stealing stint in Sang’gre, Andrea continues to keep busy. She currently stars in “Akusada” with Benjamin Alves, and she’s also set to appear with Will Ashley in GMA Public Affairs’ first-ever vertical series.
