PASIG CITY – The hunt for the Discayas’ luxury cars has finally ended. After a tense morning that revealed only two vehicles, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) confirmed Tuesday night that all 12 luxury cars under a court-issued search warrant have been accounted for.
Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno announced that seven vehicles were surrendered directly to the bureau and are now secured inside the St. Gerrard Construction compound in Pasig. These include:
-
Rolls-Royce Cullinan 2023
-
Bentley Bentayga
-
Mercedes-Benz G-Class (Brabus G-Wagon)
-
Mercedes AMG G63 SUV 2022
-
Toyota Tundra 2022
-
Toyota Sequoia
-
Cadillac Escalade ESV 2021
Earlier that morning, Customs teams found just two vehicles — a Toyota LC300 2024 and a Maserati Levante Modena 2022 — parked openly at the St. Gerrard lot.
After the slow start, Nepomuceno issued a stern warning to the Discaya family: all vehicles must surface, or anyone hiding them will face the full force of the law. By evening, his warning was heeded.
The final three vehicles — a Mercedes-Benz G500 SUV 2019, a GMC Yukon Denali 2022, and a Lincoln Navigator L 2024 — are in authorized service centers for repairs and will soon be turned over.
With all 12 cars now under watch, the BOC will verify importation records and check for possible violations of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act. If irregularities are confirmed, enforcement and legal action will follow.
For now, every car has been formally sealed and placed under 24/7 guard by Customs and the Philippine Coast Guard.
Nepomuceno expressed gratitude to the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the Philippine National Police–Eastern Police District, the Highway Patrol Group, the Coast Guard, and Barangay Bambang officials for their support in recovering the vehicles.
