Ai Ai, bf to marry in November in US
Al Al delas Alas revealed that she and fiancé Gerald Sibayan are planning to have two weddings. “Sa November, pu-punta ako ng America, magpapakasal kami dun,” Ai-Ai told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) talk on April 21.
But the Comedy Queen clarified that her dream church wedding will still happen in 2018 here in the Philippines.
“Meron pa rin dito. Meron lang nag-sponsor sa amin doon sa US,” she said. “Yung iba ko kasing friends, hindi makakauwi dito sa 2018. So, dun na lang nila ginawa.
” It was on April 12, 2017—the day they were celebrating their third anniversary—when Gerald proposed to Ai-Ai. Ai-Ai also admitted her celibacy vow, adding she was proud of the fact that Gerald respects her beliefs.
“Kaya nagustuhan ko rin si Gerald, kaya umoo rin ako na mapangasawa siya, kasi nung nagkaroon ako ng Papal Award, nag-celibate na ako, e. Wala na kaming sexual something something. So, siya, pumapayag siya.
” Ai-Ai was referring to the Cross Pro Ecclesia Et Pontifice (Cross for the Church and Pontiff) that was given to her by the Roman Catholic Church in October 2016. It is the highest Papal Award bestowed upon lay people who have given service to the church.
Ai-Ai said that she feels at peace knowing that Gerald is the right man for her, dismissing concerns about their 29-year age gap.
