MANILA, Philippines — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) further boosts its response capabilities and readiness in ground shake scenarios in its participation in the 3rd Quarter 2025 National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City on Thursday.
In a statement released Friday, the AFP said the drill, spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) tested its coordination and operational capabilities with Local DRRM Councils and partner agencies across the National Capital Region.
Apart from readiness and response, the drill also focused on emergency communications, inter-agency collaboration, logistical operations, and urban search and rescue procedures.
The AFP’s continued participation in the NSED reaffirmed its role as a key responder in the country’s disaster preparedness and management efforts.
